應用RFID技術改善醫療品質之研究

A STUDY OF HOSPITAL SERVICES IMPROVEMENT USING RFID TECHNOLOGY

　　現今RFID技術正逐步地應用於許多相關行業，在製造與產銷領域方面，其應用系統已經具有不錯的成效，但是在醫療照護領域是否也能有效的施行，至今仍有待深入研究與觀察。RFID雖然有無線傳輸與自動辨識的便利性，但是在醫療領域的應用上，比較容易衍生出管理問題與隱私權的爭議。
　　本文首先介紹RFID技術的基本功能與原理，簡介國內應用RFID技術的醫療資訊系統功能，並對病患與醫院員工問卷訪談，初步分析他們對RFID科技的認知情形。接著由文獻的探討，瞭解目前國外的醫療機構應用RFID技術的現況。本文最後將針對如何應用RFID技術來改善醫療照護品質，提出相關的結論與建議。

　　Today the RFID (radio frequency identification) technology is providing contributions in many fields of automation through wireless communication. In the areas of manufacturing and selling, it helps by tracking goods during the manufacturing process and in the supply chain. However, RFID applications in hospital automation are likely to bring management challenges and privacy issues.
　　This article provides an overview of RFID technology and looks at the challenges when applying RFID to the hospital practices. It shows that the intensification of labor and privacy concerns should be taken into account during the design and implementation of the RFID-based healthcare systems.
